Sri Achalananda Dasaru

Sri Achalananda Dasaru was a magnificent early Haridasa from Haiganpura (Bengaluru District). As an extraordinarily ardent devotee of Lord Narasimha, he toured the entire country barefoot while the idol of his Lord was carried in a beautifully decorated palanquin—which was miraculously borne by invisible Rudra Ganas! He received a divine Darshana from Lord Panduranga Vithala while offering Arghya in the Chandrabhaga river. In a legendary miracle in Nepal, he chanted the Garuda Mantra to summon a serpent to suck back its poison, spectacularly saving the life of the King's son!
