1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the WalkToTemple application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

WalkToTemple provides dedicated resources and spiritual calculation tools honoring the sacred Madhwa tradition:

• Madhwa Guru Parampara & Yathi Parampare: Historical lineages and geolocations for Moola Brindhavanas of 770+ Yathigalu across Sri Uttaradi Matha, Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha, Sri Vyasaraja Matha, the Udupi Ashta Mathas, and other esteemed Madhwa institutions.
• Vyasaraja Hanuma Temples: Directory and interactive pilgrimage maps of the sacred Pranadevaru (Hanuman) temples consecrated by Sri Vyasaraja Theertharu across Bharat.
• Shubha Muhurtha Calculator: Algorithmic astrological suitability engine evaluating Tarabala, Chandrabala, and safe time windows for ceremonies including Vivaha, Upanayana, Grihapravesha, Vahana Pooja, and Vyapara Arambha.
• Shraddha Tithi Nirnaya & Mahalaya: Scriptural lookup engine computing exact annual Pratyabdika Shraddha dates based on the orthodox Aparahna Vyapini Tithi, alongside corresponding annual Mahalaya Shraddha timings.
• Daily Panchanga & Community Alerts: Daily Drik Siddhanta Panchanga timings, Dwadashi Parane windows, and automated broadcast formatting for WhatsApp and Telegram communities.
• HariVayu AI Assistant: A generative AI assistant trained on public Madhwa scriptures, stotras, and historical literature to offer contextual spiritual insights.

3. Accuracy of Information & Shastric Guidance

While we strive to provide meticulous and authentic spiritual and calendrical data, please note the following guidelines:

• Panchanga, Aradhana & Muhurtha: The astrological and calendrical data provided should be used as a spiritual guide. We utilize algorithms based on the highly respected Drik Siddhantha (modern observational astronomical system) for our core coordinates to ensure high mathematical fidelity, aligning with the methodology followed by premier Madhwa Mathas. However, for critical life milestones (such as Vivaha, Upanayana, or Sanyasa Swekara), we recommend consulting your family priest (Kula Purohita) or astrologer. Please consult your respective Matha's printed calendar if you have any doubts regarding specific Aradhana observances.
• Shraddha Tithi Nirnaya & Mahalaya: Ancestral Shraddha dates are calculated strictly on the scriptural principle of Aparahna Vyapini Tithi (the tithi prevailing during the 4th part of the daylight period, approximately 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM). Scriptural guidance regarding Mahalaya (including not combining Pratyabdika and Mahalaya on the same day when demise occurred in Bhadrapada Bahula, or first-year Abdika prerequisites) is provided based on orthodox Madhwa texts (such as Smriti Muktavali and Nirnaya Sindhu). For complex family traditions (Kulachara), kshaya tithis, or adoption rules, please seek guidance from your Matha or family scholar.
• AI Assistant (HariVayu): Our AI assistant uses advanced large language models. While designed to adhere to Madhwa Dvaita philosophy, it may occasionally generate inaccurate scriptural answers. Always cross-verify critical philosophical conclusions with authentic Granthas or qualified Gurus.
• Location Data: The distances and locations of Brindhavanas and Temples are compiled from historical and community records; actual road access and geographic coordinates may vary.
• Local Storage (Favorites & History): Features such as "My Favorites" save data strictly on your local device's storage. We do not sync or back up this data to any servers. Clearing your browser cache or site data will permanently remove your saved favorites.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use the application respectfully and refrain from using the AI chat feature for inappropriate, harmful, or abusive inquiries.

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service.
