Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We strive to collect only what is strictly necessary to provide our services:

• Location Data: When you use features like "Search Nearby" in our Brindhavana Explorer and Vyasaraja Hanuma Temple maps, we request your device's location (GPS coordinates). This data is processed locally on your device to calculate distances to nearby sacred places. We do not store your location coordinates on our servers.
• Shraddha Tithi Nirnaya & Ancestral Queries: When you look up ancestral demise Tithis, annual Pratyabdika Shraddha dates, or Mahalaya timings, all astronomical matching is performed on-demand directly in your browser session. We do not collect, store, transmit, or log any personal family details, ancestor names, demise records, or Shraddha dates on our servers.
• Shubha Muhurtha & Panchanga Queries: All astrological and Panchanga calculations (such as Muhurtha safe windows and Tarabala evaluations) are calculated algorithmically without collecting or recording your personal identity.
• Chat Queries: When you interact with our HariVayu AI assistant, your chat queries are processed by our secure AI providers to generate answers regarding Madhwa philosophy, Guru Parampara, and rituals. Please do not share sensitive personal information in chat inquiries.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your location is solely used in real-time to show relevant sacred places, Moola Brindhavanas, and Vyasaraja Hanuma temples near you. Panchanga and Shraddha Tithi Nirnaya parameters are utilized entirely in-session to deliver accurate scriptural timings. Queries made to our AI assistant are used strictly to provide you with spiritual guidance, scriptural references, and event information.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We use secure third-party AI services to power our HariVayu assistant, and your queries may be processed by them strictly for generating responses.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use local storage on your device to save your preferences and personal data (such as your chosen language, search radius, or saved items in "My Favorites"). This data is strictly stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. Clearing your browser data or cache will permanently delete these saved items.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect enhancements in our spiritual tools (including Guru Parampara lineage tools, Vyasaraja Hanuma maps, Shubha Muhurtha, and Shraddha Tithi Nirnaya). We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
