📖 About Sri Govinda Wodeyaru
Sri Govinda Wodeyaru was a remarkable Bidi Sanyasi whose spiritual journey is a powerful testament to the supremacy of Dvaita philosophy. Originally a renowned Advaita pontiff, he engaged in a monumental philosophical debate with Sri Vyasaraja Tirtharu at the Vijayanagara Empire. Defeated by Vyasarajaru's absolute brilliance, he surrendered completely, renouncing Advaita to accept Vaishnava deeksha from him. Reborn as Sri Govinda Tirtharu , he passionately contributed to the Dasa Sahitya by composing beautiful suladis under the ankita 'Muddu Krishna'. Passing away five years before his beloved Guru, Sri Vyasarajaru affectionately granted him a resting place right beside his own future Brindavana site. Today, his holy Brindavana stands majestically at the sacred Nava Brindavana in Anegondi.
