"

Sri JayaTirtharu (Teekacharya) was a deeply revered pontiff of the Sri Uttaradi Matha! Shri JayaTeertha is believed to be the incarnation of Indra with Aavesha of Shesha and blessed by goddess Durga ( Shri Mahalaxmi) with a writing instrument and a piece of areca nut; the former to write with the commentaries on Madhva original works on palm leaves and the latter to smear the writing to make it permanent. His glorious Aradhana is revered on the sacred day and his holy Brindavana is situated at Malkhed.
