Sri Jeevothama Tirtharu

Sri Jeevothama Tirtharu was a legendary ascetic whose monumental spiritual achievements permanently attached his name to the Matha. Endowed with profound yogic powers, he famously transformed meat sent by the Adilshah into flowers and correctly blessed the Badshah with a son. During a magnificent pilgrimage, he unearthed three sacred Vitthala idols and, after a glorious 70-year reign, miraculously ascended to Vaikunta on a divine Vimana. His holy Brindavana is located at Bhatkal.
