Sri Kamalesha Vittala Dasaru

Sri Kamalesha Vittala Dasaru (originally Ananda Dasaru of Surapura) was an incredibly prominent 18th-century Haridasa who received his ankita from Sri Srisha Vittala Dasaru. As an absolutely ardent devotee of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, he authored some of the most evocative and popular songs on Rayaru. In a breathtaking miracle, while desperately crossing the overflowing Tungabhadra river to attend Rayara Aradhana at Mantralaya, his sinking boat was spectacularly rescued by two mysterious Koupeena-clad Brahmins, answering his fervent prayers to Rayaru!
