Sri Kowthala Rangayyanavaru (SRS) Rangayyanavaru (SRS) was a legendary Avadhuta and Bidi Sanyasi, famously recognized as the previous incarnation of Ibharampura Appavaru. Blessed directly by Lord Srinivasa in his youth, he possessed immense divine vision, once miraculously showing his mother the Tirupati Brahmotsava right from their home terrace. Endowed with prophetic powers, he accurately predicted that Sri Purushotamachar would become the future Peethadhipati, Sri Vasudendra Tirtharu . In a magnificent final miracle, when ignorant villagers forcefully cremated his body against his instructions, he appeared in their dreams to reveal that his little finger, kowpina, and tulasimani had remained miraculously unburnt in the fire. Awed by his supreme spiritual stature, they constructed his holy Brindavana over these sacred, untouched relics at Kowthala.
