Sri Lakshmisamudra Tirtharu

Sri Lakshmisamudra Teertharu was born on the day of Ashada Bahula Saptami of Pramadhi Samvatsara (1879 CE). He was initiated to sanyasashrama by his guru Sri Lakshmivallabha Teertharu at the tender age of 7 on Vaishaka Bahula Dashami of Vyaya samvatsara. He was not just a scholar but one of the greatest yati. During the first Paryaya, he was instrumental Madhyama ratha which is used during utsava of Sri Krishna. He also Renovated the Papuje maTha which comes under Shirooru maTha’s administration. During the second paryaya of Srigalu, He constructed the Bhojanashaala or the dining hall of Sri Krishna Matha utilising the available resources in the maTha & also installed the idol of Mukhyapraanadevaru. He ruled the Samsthana for 30 years & attained the Haripaada on the day of Ashwina Shuddha Pratipada of Nala samvatsara at Udupi.
