Sri Lakshmivara Tirtharu

Sri Lakshmivara Teertharu was born in the year 1964, to the couples of Vittalacharya at Madamakki, Udupi District. He was known as Harish Acharya & was anointed into Sanyasashrama at the age of 7, by Sri Vishwottama teertharu (the then Peethadhipathi of Sode maTha) on 2nd of July 1971. He had done the vedadhyayana under Sri Vishwottama teertharu, Adve Vyasacharyaru & Agrahara Narayana Tantri. His first Paryaya was from 1978 to 1980,was done with peak level of grandeur. He was known to be one of those having a great expertise in terms of the alankara of Krishnadevaru. During his 2nd paryaya (1994-96) he had created a record of doing 300 varieties of Alankaras to Krishna. Also, he had given permanent solution for the uncontrollable motor vehicle traffic in the ratha beedi (Car street) of Krishna maTha by allowing the automobiles in a particular time, which lead to the utsavas to happen smoothly. Also, he had renovated the kitchen of chowki during this time. He performed his 3rd yet last paryaya from 2010-12. He attained Haripada on Vilambi Samavatsara’s Ashada Shuddha Saptami (19-7-2018). His Brindavana is in the moola maTha of Shirooru.
