📖 About Sri Sripadaraja Tirtharu
Sri Sripadaraja Tirtharu (born as Lakshminarayana in 1404) was a monumental figure in Dvaita philosophy and the legendary founder of the Dasa Sahitya movement, famously known as the Dasa Pitamaha. A brilliant scholar supported by the Vijayanagara empire, he composed eternal devotional Kannada hymns like 'Bhramarageeta' and 'Madhwanama'. He successfully cured King Chaluva Narasimhan of Chandragiri from a severe curse and profoundly mentored the great Sri Vyasa Teertha . Following divine instructions from Goddess Ganga, he ordained Sri Hayagriva Teertha and entered his Brindavana at Mulubagal alive at Narasimha Theertha near Mulbagal in 1504.
