Sri Vibhudhendra Tirtharu

Sri Vibhudhendra Tirtharu was an exceptional scholar who courageously undertook a grand Digvijaya across North India to fiercely defend and establish Dwaita Siddhanta against formidable philosophical challenges. Famously experiencing a divine dream of the Shodasha Bahu Narasimha at Ahobala, he miraculously manifested and installed the magnificent sixteen-handed deity that is worshipped in the Matha to this day. Highly revered by the Vijayanagara Empire and the guru to the legendary Sripadaraja, he successfully led the lineage before entering his Brindavana on the banks of the Tamraparni in Tirunelveli.
