Sri Vidyanidhi Tirtharu

The twelfth seer in the lineage of the direct disciple of Shri Madhvacharya – Shri Hrishikesha Teertha, who illuminated the grand tradition of Palimaru Matha is His Holiness Shri Vidyanidhi Teertha. He was a treasure trove of supreme knowledge true to his name. He spent a lot of his time contemplating upon the scriptures Shri Vidyanidhi Teertha is a contemporary of the mighty revolutionary Shri Vadiraja Gurusaarvabhouma. He adorned the peeta for about 12 years. Besides, he was also engaged in the special worship of Lord Ramachandra. In Shalivahana shaka 1429 (1514 A.D.) Shrimukha samvatsara vaishakha poornima, he attained the feet of Lord Vedavyasa at Palimaru Matha. His aradhana is observed in the month of Vaisakha, Shukla Paksha, on Poornima Tithi.
