Sri Vidyapati Tirtharu

Sri Vidyapati Tirtharu Theertha was a brilliant scholar who impressed the King of Mysuru, Krishnaraja Wodeyar, so deeply that the king gifted him a royal horse. Knowing through divine insight that his end would come via a serpent bite, he peacefully entered deep meditation when the moment arrived, leaving his mortal body to enter Brindavana at Udupi.
