📖 About Sri Vishnu Tirtharu
Sri Vishnu Tirtharu , also known as Adavi Acharya or Aranyakacharya, was born as Sri Jayatirtha Acharya to Sri Narahari and Smt. Bhagirathi. His birth was prophesied in a dream to his grandfather by Sri Jayatirtha himself, predicting the arrival of a great scholar who would simplify the profound Shriman Nyaya Sudha. He completed his deep scriptural studies at Mantralaya and, guided by a divine dream from Sri Raghavendra Swamy, became a fiercely devoted disciple of Sri Vyasa Tatvagna Tirtharu . His legendary devotion to his guru was famously demonstrated when, offered his master's sandals to protect his feet from the scorching sun, he reverently carried them on his head instead. He was later initiated into sanyasa by Sri Satyavara Tirtharu of the Uttaradi Matha. Living a life of extreme detachment and intense tapas, this profoundly revered ascetic ultimately entered his holy Brindavana at Madanur, near Koppal.
