Sri Yadavaryaru

Sri Yadavaryaru was an extraordinary Gruhastha scholar and legendary Aparoksha Gyani who lived a life of supreme detachment. His life is filled with breathtaking miracles: Once, when dacoits tried to rob him, they were stunned to see Lord Rama and Lakshmana on horseback physically guarding him, causing them to instantly surrender! In another famous incident, suffering from extreme hunger, he doubted the Gita verse 'yogakshemam vahamyaham' and crossed it out with three red lines. Astonishingly, Lord Krishna Himself appeared as a young boy, delivered a massive food basket to his wife, and revealed three bleeding red whip marks on His back where Yadavaryaru had struck the verse! Furthermore, out of sheer reverence, even Yamadoothas stood back from taking a child's soul on his lap until he respectfully stood up to greet his Guru! It is deeply believed that Srimad Bhagavatha verses could be heard echoing directly from his very bones even after his passing!
